Legal
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the rental of a vehicle from FlyFleet. Please read them before you book — paying the reservation fee confirms that you accept them. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Last updated: 21 September 2026.
1. Who we are
FlyFleet is a trading name of FLYF1EET LTD, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17055998), registered office 11 Vivian Avenue, London, England, NW4 3UT. You can contact us at flyf1eet@hotmail.com or on 07446 556740. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean FLYF1EET LTD, and "you" means the person making the booking and renting the vehicle.
2. Eligibility & minimum age
You must hold a valid, full driving licence and meet the minimum age for the vehicle you book. Minimum ages are:
- Mercedes-Benz CLA — 18+
- Mercedes-Benz A200 — 18+
- Audi A1 — 18+
- BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé — 21+
- Mercedes-Benz GLB — 21+
You must have held your licence for the period we require and have no disqualifying endorsements. We may decline a rental where eligibility or verification requirements are not met.
3. Driving licences we accept
We accept UK driving licences and valid international driving licences/permits. You must present your licence (and any supporting identification we ask for) and complete driver verification before collection. You are responsible for ensuring your licence is valid for driving in the UK for the rental period.
4. Booking process
A booking is a request until we confirm it. When you request a booking you pay the £50 reservation fee (section 5) and complete driver verification by uploading your licence and the documents we require. We review availability and your verification, and your vehicle is only reserved once we confirm it. If we cannot confirm your booking, we will contact you.
5. Reservation fee (£50, non-refundable)
The £50 reservation fee is non-refundable at all times. It is paid to secure your dates while we review your booking and verification, and it is credited against your rental balance if the booking proceeds. It is separate from the £500 security deposit (section 6).
If you pay the reservation fee but do not complete the required driver verification within 48 hours, your reservation lapses and the dates are released so other customers can book them; the £50 reservation fee is retained and is not refunded. The fee is likewise not refunded if you cancel (see section 13).
6. Security deposit (£500, refundable)
A refundable security deposit of £500 is taken for the rental. This is not the reservation fee and is not a "booking deposit" — it is a refundable amount held against damage, loss, charges and other amounts you may owe under these terms. It is released as follows:
- When the vehicle is returned, £250 is released/refunded, provided there is no damage or other legitimate deduction requiring it to be retained.
- The remaining £250 is held for 10 working days after the vehicle is returned, in case of tickets, fines, tolls, penalties or other post-rental charges.
- After 10 working days the remaining balance is refunded, provided there are no legitimate deductions.
- Where legitimate deductions arise (for example damage, excess mileage, refuelling, fines, tolls or penalties), the applicable amount may be retained or deducted in accordance with these terms and your rental agreement, and any shortfall above the deposit remains payable by you.
7. Insurance
Standard comprehensive motor insurance is included with the rental unless otherwise stated. You must drive in accordance with the insurance terms and the law at all times. The insurance excess is £2,500 per incident — in the event of a claim you are responsible for up to that amount (and for any uninsured loss). Cover may be void if you breach these terms (for example, prohibited use in section 14, or driving while not eligible), in which case you may be liable for the full costs.
8. Mileage
Each rental includes 150 miles per rental day. Additional mileage is charged at £0.50 per mile. Excess mileage is calculated on return and may be deducted from your security deposit or invoiced to you.
9. Fuel
The vehicle is supplied at the agreed fuel level and must be returned at the same agreed level. If it is returned below that level, you will be charged the actual cost of refuelling plus a £40 service/admin fee. If the wrong fuel is put in the vehicle, you are responsible for the full repair and recovery costs.
10. Collection & delivery
You can collect the vehicle free of charge from our North-West London base. We also offer optional one-way delivery to your address, quoted by distance to your postcode; addresses beyond our standard delivery range are quoted manually. Delivery charges are shown before you complete your booking or confirmed with you where a manual quote is required.
11. Damage & additional charges
You are responsible for damage to, or loss of, the vehicle and its equipment during your rental, other than fair wear and tear. Reasonable repair, recovery and associated costs may be charged to you or deducted from your security deposit, and any amount above the deposit remains payable. Nothing in this section makes you liable for loss that is covered by the insurance and not subject to an excess or an exclusion caused by your breach of these terms.
Where they apply, the following charges are made in line with your rental agreement:
- Lost key: £250–£600
- Lockout: £100
- Tyre damage: from £150
- Windscreen damage: £500–£600
- Body damage: from £400 per panel
- Alloy damage: from £180
- Admin fees: up to £70
- Out-of-hours service: £50–£100
- Additional driver: £80 per day
- Standard cleaning fee: £100
- Excessive dirt, smoke or odour: up to £300
Breakdown support is provided unless the breakdown is caused by misuse; misuse-related incidents are fully recoverable from you. Vehicle recovery, towing, storage and other applicable costs remain chargeable where your rental agreement provides for them.
12. Fines, tickets, tolls, penalties & charges from your use
You are responsible for all fines, penalty charge notices, parking and traffic tickets, congestion and clean-air charges, tolls, and any similar charges arising from your use of the vehicle during the rental, together with any related charges we reasonably incur in dealing with them. These may be deducted from your security deposit or invoiced to you. Where a charge arrives after your rental, this is one of the reasons part of your deposit is held for 10 working days (section 6).
13. Cancellation
The £50 reservation fee is non-refundable at all times. If you cancel your booking, the reservation fee is not returned. We do not offer a free cancellation period. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected. If we cancel a booking that we are unable to fulfil, we will discuss the appropriate refund with you.
14. Prohibited use
You must not, and must not allow anyone else to: use the vehicle while unfit to drive (including under the influence of alcohol or drugs); allow any driver who is not authorised and verified by us to drive it; use it for racing, track use, pacemaking, testing or motorsport; use it to carry passengers or goods for hire or reward; sub-let, sell or pledge it; use it for any unlawful purpose; take it outside the UK without our prior written consent; overload it or tow beyond its specification; or use it off-road or otherwise contrary to the manufacturer's or insurer's requirements. Breach of this section may void insurance and make you liable for the resulting costs.
15. Vehicle seizure
If the vehicle is seized (for example by the police or another authority) as a result of your use of it, you are liable to pay for all costs, including recovery, storage, release and any related costs.
16. Breakdown & accidents
In the event of a breakdown, accident, theft or damage, you must contact us as soon as possible on the details in section 1 and, where anyone is injured or the law requires it, contact the emergency services. Do not admit fault or liability to any third party. Where there is an accident, obtain the other party's details and report it to us promptly so we can handle any insurance claim.
17. Late return & extensions
A rental day is 24 hours. There is a 15-minute grace period on return; after that, late return is charged at £50 per hour. If you wish to extend your rental, this is subject to availability and must be agreed with us in advance. Returning the vehicle late without our agreement may also affect other customers' bookings.
18. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — this includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or that were caused by your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your non-excludable statutory rights as a consumer.
19. Privacy & your data
We handle your personal data (including your driving-licence details and verification documents) as described in our Privacy Policy.
20. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales. This does not remove any protection available to you under the law of the part of the UK where you live.
21. Complaints & contact
If something goes wrong, please contact us at flyf1eet@hotmail.com or on 07446 556740 and we will do our best to put it right. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them fairly.
